  • Multiple communities

I have posted about this before as have others and this has been talked about. But now I have a requirement to implement and I want to review what the options are available today or in the next update. While this has been discussed, I have not seen anyone actually doing it, or any notes on the steps to implement a shared community. If you have implemented such a shared multiple communities, I would certainly appreciate a link to the two sites to see them in action. Community 1000 Forum ... [read more]

This would allow a group using the main forums to branch off, run their own skined site, and still come back to Community A. Obviously the other big issue to this is does it allow for someone to be appo... [read more]

http://docs.communityserver.org/default.aspx/CS.MultipleCommunityInstallations states this is not tested yet - Anyone done this successfully for my domaina.com and domainb.com scenario above? seperate forums, seperate skins, same user database? Multiple Community Installations *A new Installer has been created that allows you to automatically create a new community on an existing database schema. Look for it it in the Addins and Modifications section. Just replace the default page in the Instal... [read more]
